We design resilient outdoor spaces across urban and rural contexts, grounded in place, people, and long-term performance.
Built to grow.
Landscapes shaped by place, people, and time.
LILE is a small landscape architecture practice founded by George Lile, working between Austria and Romania.
We design outdoor spaces across different contexts, with a focus on ecological systems, adaptability, and long-term performance.
Projects range from green roofs and urban planting to natural pools and rural landscape restoration. Regardless of scale, the approach remains consistent: clarity of design, technical precision, and solutions that mature well over time.
About me
My name is George Lile. I am a landscape architect working between Austria and Romania, with a focus on green infrastructure, site-specific design, and long-term landscape performance.
I hold a Master’s degree in Landscape Planning and Landscape Architecture from BOKU University Vienna, where my academic work focused on sustainable urban strategies and the role of landscape in contemporary planning.
My professional background combines design, technical planning, and hands-on experience on site. I work on private, public, and semi-public projects, including green roof systems, large-calibre tree planting, and ecological planting strategies.
I collaborate closely with clients, architects, and engineers from site analysis through detailed planning and implementation support, with an emphasis on landscapes that function reliably beyond the concept phase.
