Our Services

At LILE, we explore design directions that bridge research and real-world application.
Some of these ideas evolve into services. Others remain as ongoing experiments or long-term ambitions.

Green Roofs & Urban Planting

Sustainable layers, growing above.

We design and implement green roofs that don’t just look good — they perform. Whether it's extensive systems with Sedum carpets or semi-intensive installations with large trees, we work with tested, FLL-compliant substrates, including brick chippings, expanded clay, and pumice.

Every layer matters — from root protection to drainage, filtration, and plant composition. Our expertise blends ecological design with practical know-how, ensuring durability, biodiversity, and beauty from above.

What we offer:

  • Sedum roll installation & drought-tolerant planting

  • Substrate consulting based on root depth and retention

  • Tree placement (up to 15 meters) with site-adapted soil profiles

  • Urban planting beds and rooftop systems

The plant palette includes:
Sedum album, Festuca glauca, Allium schoenoprasum, Amelanchier lamarckii, Aronia melanocarpa

Interested in building upwards? Let’s make it thrive from the top down.

Terraces & Balconies

Designing small spaces with big personality.

We create compact landscapes full of contrast and character. Through modular decks, vibrant planting, playful materials, and smart lighting, terraces become both functional and expressive — places to live, relax, and grow.

What we offer:

  • Wooden decks & broken paving with Sedum infill

  • Container planting (perennials, shrubs, herbs)

  • Outdoor zones with seating, water, light, and grill setups

  • Colorful, mood-driven furnishings

The plant palette includes:
Lavandula, Echinacea, Nepeta, Hydrangea paniculata, Acer palmatum, Olea europaea

Let’s turn your terrace into a place that speaks your language.

Natural Pools & Wild Gardens

Water, rewilded.

We design natural pools and wild ponds that integrate seamlessly with the landscape and biodiversity. No chemicals, no hard edges — just clear water, native species, and zones of regeneration that sustain both people and ecosystems.

What we offer:

  • Natural pools (swimming + plant filtration)

  • Ornamental wild ponds & marsh gardens

  • Shoreline planting with native wetland flora

  • Decks and stone edges that blend with terrain

Plant palette includes:
Typha latifolia, Iris pseudacorus, Mentha aquatica, Nymphaea alba, Lythrum salicaria, Alnus glutinosa

Vertical Green Walls

Grow up, naturally.

We’re experimenting with low-tech and modular vertical green systems that bring life to facades, fences, and narrow outdoor spaces. From climbing plants to pocket-based systems, we adapt each approach to site and species.

What we explore:

  • Textile pouch modules & climbing plant structures

  • Vertical substrate systems with integrated irrigation

  • Native and ornamental plant palettes

  • Façade greening for shading, cooling, and biodiversity

Plant options:
Sedum spurium, Heuchera, Thymus serpyllum, Vinca minor, Clematis viticella

Native Plant Integration

Wild roots in urban soil.

We bring the wild back into cities — not as a trend, but as an ethic. Inspired by Romania’s rural flora, we use native plants from fields, meadows, and village edges to regenerate the city’s green identity.

What we offer:

  • Native plant design for parks, verges, gardens

  • Urban meadow creation & seed mix consulting

  • Shrubs and small trees from local ecotypes

  • Ecological continuity between urban and rural edges

Species include:
Achillea millefolium, Salvia pratensis, Rosa canina, Cornus sanguinea, Malus sylvestris

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
