Bezid Lake Smart Village – Landscape Architecture
This conceptual landscape architecture project explores a contemporary lakeside community at Bezid Lake, Mureș County, Romania.
The proposal focuses on everyday life in close connection with water, vegetation, and shared outdoor spaces.
The landscape structure is defined by soft paths, wetlands, and a small pond that becomes a central social element. Circulation follows natural movement patterns, encouraging walking, play, and informal gathering along the water’s edge.
Native planting and meadow-like vegetation frame the spaces between modern wooden houses, supporting biodiversity while maintaining openness and visual continuity.
The Scandinavian-inspired architectural language remains calm and restrained, allowing the landscape to lead the spatial experience.
The project imagines Bezid Lake as a place for slow living, community interaction, and long-term ecological balance, where landscape and architecture function as one system.
