Mountain Threshold House – Landscape Concept
This project explores the relationship between contemporary architecture and a mountain landscape shaped by native vegetation and local materials. The landscape design acts as a transition zone, not a decorative layer, but a spatial framework that connects the house to its terrain.
Stone terraces, gently stepped paths, and climate-adapted planting guide movement while stabilizing slopes and managing water runoff. Native grasses and perennials soften architectural lines, support biodiversity, and reduce long-term maintenance. Seasonal change is treated as a design asset, allowing the landscape to evolve rather than remain static.
The result is a restrained, resilient outdoor environment where architecture and landscape operate as a single system, grounded in place, climate, and long-term use.
